Cordeaux joins FIVEaa

Staff Writer

Following the retirement of veteran Bob Francis, FIVEaa has announced that long-time Adelaide identity Jeremy Cordeaux will host evenings.

Cordeaux has a long history in Adelaide radio, including a period as a shareholder in 5AD (now Mix 102.3). Cordeaux commented:

“Five years ago I decided to take my own long service leave, but I never wanted to retire. I’m glad I had time to recharge the batteries, smell the roses, wash the cars, but I’m very excited to be getting back on the air from Tuesday.

"I feel like all the years in radio have prepared me for now. I feel very lucky.”

dmg Radio Adelaide General Manager, Peter Maynard said;

“Jeremy’s appointment to evenings on FIVEaa is the final addition to our 2014 line up. We’ve made a number of changes on air and off air over the last three months to freshen and revitalise FIVEaa.

"Behind the scenes there has been a significant amount of work done with the whole sound of the station, including all our on-air imaging, news intros and station promos, these changes will position FIVEaa for strong future growth and success.

"As from Tuesday, listeners will hear the new sound of the station with the focus very much being our commitment to talking Adelaide, being relevant to the people of South Australia and delivering the news as it happens.”

Cordeaux will commence on evenings from Tuesday 28 January.
