Carrie & Tommy seeks senior producer

Staff Writer

The Hit Network’s Drive program, Carrie & Tommy, is looking for a senior producer to join its team.

The successful applicant will oversee every aspect of on-air content and talent, and execute the overall strategic direction of the show.

Carrie & Tommy, with Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little, formed in 2017 as an hour-long show. Later in the year, it was extended to 90 minutes, and shared the Drive slot with Hughesy & Kate, and then Hughesy & Ed.

This year, with Dave Hughes and Ed Kavalee moving to Sydney Breakfast on 2DayFM, the Carrie & Tommy show was extended to the full three hours, running from 3pm to 6pm.

The lucrative 3pm hour goes up against KIIS FM’s 3PM Pick Up, which now features Kate Langbroek, formerly of Hughesy & Kate.

The Hit Network’s parent company, Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), said it’s on the hunt for “a seasoned radio pro and creative powerhouse who has the hunger, ambition, and skills to take the show to new heights”.

Applications close in early March, and must include a 60 to 90-second video addressing the question: “What creative idea/s would you recommend to take Carrie and Tommy to new heights?”
