The analysis and press releases are below……

104.7 hold onto the #1 position for the 14th consecutive survey but the gap is now closer with ABC666 who are now only 4.4 behind with Mix 106.3 slightly behind them on 13.9%. 104.7 are up slightly at breakfast with Scotty & Nige (right) still #1 on 22.8%. All other shifts on the station are down with the workday taking the biggest hit. Mornings down 9.0, arvos down 10.6 and drive down 5.4 (but still #1).

The demographics see them still #1 under 40 but the up and down 18-24 battle continues (S2/2012 – 34.2%, S1/2013 – 50.3%, S2/2013 – 34.8%). All other demos also took a bit of a hit this survey.

ABC666 move back into 2nd position in Canberra. They went up slightly (0.1) to 14.1%. Nights was the stations main winner this survey, up 8.1 to 23.2% with all other weekday shifts going down. Breakfast remains #2 but slipped 1.1.

Mix 106.3 slip back to #3. After last surveys gain of 4.5, this time they dropped 2.9 to be on 13.9%. Rod & Biggzy took a big hit, going down 3.9 to be on 10.2%, taking them from 3rd to 5th in the market. Mornings held steady with arvos down 2.5, drive down 2.9 and nights down 7.5.

Mix lost most in the 10-17 demo (down 14.0 – from 21.3% to 7.3%) but 40-54 is the one they'd be looking closely at today, they dropped 7.7 but still lead 104.7 in that demo.

triple j had a strong result this survey. They went up 3.9 to be on 12.3% but strong demo results with 18-39's. They went up 12.5 with 18-24's and 10.0 with 25-39's. Breakfast went up 4.1, now 3rd behind 104.7 and ABC666, all other shifts also went up in Survey 2.

The other ABC stations, Radio National and ABCFM, also had a good survey with RN going up 2.4 to now be on 9.3% and ABCFM up 2.9 to 10.0%. RN's 55-64 result went up 8.4 and now only 5 points from ABC666. ABCFM also had a strong result in the same demo, up 9.0 to 16.0%.
