Cale Porter’s Fresh 92.7 slushie truck broadcast

Fresh 92.7’s Cale Porter of Cale for the Drive Home recently took his show on the road, spending the week broadcasting live from a Fresh slushie truck, handing out freebies to listeners across Adelaide.

“I wanted to take the show on the road, once again, to meet our loyal, interactive listeners,” said Cale.

“I needed something to offer our listeners and after having already done a Mr Whippy Ice Cream Van, this was the next best thing!”

Last year, Cale hosted the show from a Mr Whippy Ice Cream Van, which treated listeners to free ice cream, and this year Cale took it to the next level with free Fresh 92.7 blue-coloured slushies.

“Who doesn’t love a slushie on a hot day? Not just any flavour though… I created the genuine Fresh Blue Slushie,” said Cale.

Taking the van high and low around Adelaide, Cale met different listeners for a chat and a free slushie.

“We went all over Adelaide, literally from way down South at Seaford Central, then way up to North at Gawler Central. Any further and you’re in the country,” said Cale.

“I loved hearing from so many listeners about ‘how far Fresh has come in Adelaide’, and how the station is sounding the best it ever has in 24 years.”

“We had a brilliant turnout at every location and was fantastic seeing the amount of families who are so passionate about Fresh 927.”

“The big kids were also welcomed and took advantage of the free slushies on the way home from work.”
