Bonus episode of Casefile Presents: The Easey Street Murders
Casefile Presents: The Easey Street Murders has released a special bonus episode with ARN’s iHeart, bringing the podcast series to a close with a look at the most recent developments in the 48-year-old murder case.
Since its launch with iHeart early last year, The Easey Street Murders podcast has shed new light on the brutal killings of Susan Bartlett and Suzanne Armstrong in their Collingwood home back in 1977.
This special episode looks at a major development in the case: the arrest in Rome and extradition of a man to face court in Melbourne, charged with their murders.
This concluding episode, hosted by award-winning journalist Helen Thomas explains in general terms how a case like this proceeds legally.
“The arrest was a significant development in a case that has gripped Melbourne for nearly five decades,” said Thomas. “As we know, the search for answers has been painfully slow for Suzanne and Susan’s families.”
Corey Layton, ARN’s Head of Digital Audio, says “The response to The Easey Street Murders podcast highlights the lasting impact of this case. This concluding episode offers listeners an update into the case as it stands today.”
The Easey Street Murders is a co-production of iHeartPodcasts and Casefile True Crime. The special bonus episode, along with the entire season, is available now on the iHeart app.
