I won’t be listening to Hamish because 3 hours of Trump bashing every morning will get a little tiresome

Hamish never lasts long in a job so doubt he’ll be there next year.

4 days a week is probably lot more than most ABC
public servants work.

Congrats to Hamish. I think the worst thing for me about Sarah and Simon being axed was the way it was handled. Those new commercial radio execs in charge of programming didn’t have the courage to sack them, they were in hiding while someone else did the dirty work. Shame on the ABC it’s becoming a watered down version of FM breakfast radio shows now.

Don’t know how this could happen. ABC ( mis ) management needs to be refreshed not the talent they keep boning for no reason.

Curious as to why the ABC allow their announcers to only work 4 days a week ? Does that mean they only get paid 80% of salary ?

Why is everyone so fixated on presenters working four days a week? The Mon-Thurs shifts have been a regular fixture on BBC radio for years. It’s a non issue in the UK and audiences generally don’t care.

Hamish Macdonald is a very talented, multi award winning journalist. He’ll be great in Mornings and a welcome addition, along with Chris Bath, to 702. The changes have made 702 less banal and actually worth listening to. A genuine alternative to the ‘Angry White Men’ of commercial AM radio.

The hard working lefties have taken over the ABC and they only work 4 days a week.
What is going on. Management has gone soft, they’ve given up aleady and raised the white flag. Weak.
