Better reception for 4KQ

In order to improve the coverage of Brisbane station 4KQ, the ACMA have decided to make permanent ‘day/night switching’.

4KQ have been trialling this system since 2007, where they increase the power of their AM transmitter during the day and decrease it at night.

The ACMA have conducted extensive public consultation and have proven "day/night switching" had no effect on existing services in the Brisbane area.

So, 4KQ will continue switching and their signal will be stronger in Brisbane.
