Triple M’s GOAT 600 Countdown wrapped up this week with the announcement of the top ten greatest songs of all time.

Down Under by Men at Work came in at #1.

A panel of Triple M music experts curated the GOAT list, narrowing it down to the Top 600.

There may well be the question”…why wasn’t that song in the top ten?…”

I have the same question:

MMM used to play the long and short versions of “Light My Fire” by The Doors.

Why wasn’t that song included in that list of top 10 songs?

Paul Anka, gives a jazz swing version of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” from his 2004 album CD “Rock Swings”, EAN 0602498859339.

Obviously not a “rock” style listed in the top 10, but music can be made to be played in any style.

Give it a try.

Thanks
