Bernard Fanning & Tim Rogers join Double J line-up
Double J is set for a May shakeup as Australian rock royalty Bernard Fanning and Tim Rogers land spots in this month’s programming schedule.
Fanning will take the Artist in Residence seat for the next four weeks, sharing his personal music collection and extensive knowledge every Sunday across four diverse programs – Melody & Ritmo, Heartbreakers & Balltearers, Duos & Collabs and Country & Rock.
The former Powderfinger frontman and decorated solo artist follows in the footsteps of former program hosts Dave Faulkner, Melbourne-based music project Teeth & Tongue and revered songwriter Paul Dempsey.
While weekday host Myf Warhurst is away at Eurovision, Rogers will assume her lunchtime slot for a week starting May 8. The You Am I singer will bring his latest music discoveries, as well favourite interviews with Underground Lovers and Living Colour.
He will pass the baton to Warhurst’s former Spicks & Specks counterpart Alan Brough the following week from May 15. Brough is an actor, author, broadcaster, composer, comedian and musician.
