Nova’s Ben Ryan launches radio content blog & eBook

Ben Ryan has branched out into writing, launching a blog and ebook this week.

Both are titled Why Did The Chicken Cross Live To The Studio and see the the Nova 106.9 product manager deal with all things funny in the world of radio content and imaging.

The blog has plenty of writing tips as well as some guests posts by some of the funniest people in the industry.

Ryan tells Radio Today that the project was created after he identified a lack of practical advice in the area.

“This eBook is my attempt to demystify the dark arts of writing funny, producing funny and just contenting the heck out of everything that ain’t nailed down,” he says.

“In my experience, a lot of advice in this area is kind of vague at best whereas the eBook is first and foremost a practical guide. This was important to me – to make something that people can do step by step.”

“Anyone involved in writing and producing imaging or content for radio, including aspiring and current button pushes/writers will hopefully take plenty from this,” adds Ryan.

“Additionally, the joke writing techniques can be used to craft pick up lines at music festivals. The possibilities are endless.”
