Ben, Liam & Belle’s inside scoop on Jock Landale’s $48m NBA deal

This week on Nova 100’s Ben, Liam & Belle, Melbourne-born basketballer Jock Landale talked about his $48 million signing with the NBA side the Houston Rockets, including his whirlwind trip to Vegas to sign on the dotted line.

Jock revealed the extent of the deal with the Rockets came pretty much out of nowhere.

“I wasn’t expecting it. I kind of woke up at 3am to do a FaceTime from my agents. And you know, they were like, look, this is where you’re going and this is what it’s for.”

“It was just a bit of shock and yeah, I don’t know if it’s really set in still.”

Ben asked “So if that’s a face on at 3am, do you then go back to sleep or are you just buzzing for 48 hours?”

Jock replied: “Hell no. I was buzzing for 48 hours, mate.”
