bay 93.9 listener gets Tigers premiership tattoo three days before Grand Final

Staff Writer

We all know the Richmond Tigers have a chance to break their 37-year premiership drought this weekend.

In the spirit of all the excitement, Geelong’s bay 93.9 went on the hunt for the biggest Tigers fan. They found what they were looking for when Kelly from Drysdale answered the phone.

Great granddaughter of Richmond’s Barney Herbert, dual premiership player and president of the club, Kelly took to the table at tattoo shop Wise Monkey and got inked with the Tigers’ emblem and accompanying words “Premiers 2017”.

“It’s bigger than I thought it would be,” she said before gritting her teeth and allowing the Monkey Wise team to get to work.

For her troubles, Kelly won a double pass to the Grand Final against Adelaide Crows on Saturday.

In the end, it all paid off for Kelly: “I’m going to see Richmond in a Grand Final so it’s definitely worth it!”
