bay 93.9 receives record entries for 20k fuel giveaway

With fuel prices rising steadily over the past year, the cost has put pressure on driver’s wallets and become the subject on everyone’s lips. 

Geelong’s bay 93.9 wanted to ease that pressure for someone by giving away $20,000 in fuel, and as a result, received record entries for the promotion. 

Teaming up with APCO Service Stations, the volume of entries shocked 93.9.

“The promotion ran over five weeks, with massive engagement from the community and our listeners,” said bay 93.9 Promotions and Marketing Manager Andrew Billing.

“The numbers don’t lie, and when you look back at the final tally, it was the most entries we’ve ever had for a bay 93.9 promotion, and personally, I couldn’t be happier.”

Ending with a broadcast outside APCO Grovedale on Thursday, 28th July, the whole bay 93.9 team showed up to support and be part of the final leg of the promotion, making one local very happy. 

The bay 93.9 Morning Crew, Mark and Milly, called Jess McDonnell from Corio to announce she was the winner, and to say she was stunned is an understatement.

With her husband driving to Melbourne every day for work and running around with kids, winning $20k worth of fuel is a life-changing addition.
