Battle of Brisbane tug-of-war showdown

Triple M Brisbane recently held a tug-of-war match between Brisbane’s north and south side to find out which end is top of the food chain.

The showdown took place before the Broncos and Dolphins NRL game on Brisbane’s Kurilpa Bridge, where the two worlds collide.

The bragging rights clash had Rugby League Immortal Wally Lewis in attendance as north captain Greg ‘Marto’ Martin took on Margaux Parker, who was at the helm of the south team.

Each team was made up of listeners representing their respective sides who were thirsty for the title of Brisbane’s best.

Wally Lewis tipped the north to take home the win.

“They look bigger than the Southside team. It’s going to take a lot of heart from the Southsiders to get this win,” said Wally.

But the underdogs from the south overcame the odds and cleaned up the win.

In the end, all participants were cheering, receiving free tickets to the NRL showdown between the Broncos and Dolphins for their courage.
