Barry dropped

Staff Writer

Southern Cross Austereo has ended the digital radio station "Barry" which was launched two-years ago. In its place they have launched a 'chill' station called Buddha.

Speaking to Crikey Guy Dobson said "As the largest landholders of digital radio spectrum in Australia (we are ) going to start experimenting with the spectrum and various formats over the medium term".

The move by Southern Cross Austereo pitches Buddha in similar territory to dmg's chill station Koffee.
