Aussie podcast ‘Undercovers’ dissects classic album artwork

Former Assistant Editor

A new podcast by Vibe Machine Media goes behind some classic and iconic album covers, and how they came to be.

Featuring interviews with the artists behind some of the most memorable album covers in history, Undercovers is a 23-part series by dedicated music podcast network Vibe Machine and founder Josh Kiff.

The series explores untold stories spanning across generations of music history, with classic and new album covers from Australia and overseas.

“I adore album artwork and the visual aesthetic of a record is just as important as the music held within,” says Kiff.

“Think of Nirvana’s Nevermind, and the baby on the cover immediately pops into your head.”

Undercovers chats with the artists behind albums including The Beatles’ Abbey Road, Nirvana’s Nevermind and Green Day’s American Idiot.

Closer to home, LPs by INXS, Frenzal Rhomb, Vance Joy and Tash Sultana provide topics of conversation.

The entire series is available to stream now at Vibe Machine Media’s official website.

Vibe Machine’s stable of music podcasts also include Connect The RockOn The RecordThe Upside DownLabel Mates and Instant Classic.
