Aunty goes down again: triple j goes silent due to “massive” transmission problems
triple j has suffered serious transmission issues for the second time in six months, with Richard Kingsmill‘s ‘2018’ Sunday night show going completely silent yesterday evening for a short time.
Shortly after 8pm yesterday the government’s youth broadcaster went entirely silent across the nation, with host Kingsmill revealing on twitter that the station had blown a router.
“People smarter than me are trying to fix the massive transmission probs that some of you are now hearing.”
Apologies. We've blown a router. If I knew what one was, I would try to build it. But smarter people than me are trying to fix the massive transmission probs that some of you are now hearing.

This prompted some hilarious responses from listeners.
So we’re not being invaded by Daleks? That’s a relief.

Later on, Kingsmill tweeted again for a show of hands, “how many of you can hear me at the moment?” and copped some more jokes for his trouble

In October last year triple j went down for around an hour during their Friday morning ‘Like A Version’ broadcast due to technical issues.
