ARN/SCA Canberra joint venture embraces the power of audio

Canberra joint venture outfit Canberra FM Radio last night revealed its next evolution in front of a crowded room of clients, partners, staff and industry representatives.

The event – which featured dazzling audio and visual packages – threw light on the power of audio and the role that the city’s 2 heritage FM stations have played – and continue to play – in the lives of Canberrans since 1988 with the re-positioning and re-brand of the venture to amplifyCBR.

Speaking at the function, Ford Ennals, CEO of Commercial Radio and Audio (CRA) said, “The radio and audio market in Australia is in great shape with Australia outperforming the world in terms of the strength and resilience of radio and the growth of the digital audio market. Audio in Australia is on fire prompted by innovation and investment from the commercial radio sector and represents an important growth opportunity.”

amplifyCBR General Manager Craig Wagstaff said “amplifyCBR is an accurate representation of what we have done, are doing and the future potential around the scope and scale for audio engagement for audiences and its opportunities for commercial partners.”

“Our pillars remain around local content across multiple platforms including over 70 podcasts, a bespoke DAB+ station over and above our flagships of Mix 106.3 and Hit 104.7. It enhances even further our commitment to support the community of the Canberra region – the people who choose to support us each day.”

The amplifyCBR brand will also be applied to all shared output across Hit 104.7 and Mix 106.3 including News, Canberracast and RoundAbout branded content, to name a few.
