ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network a boost for Aussie advertisers

Staff Writer

ARN‘s latest venture, the iHeartPodcast Network Australia, is here to provide a comprehensive commercial offering for advertisers.

The announcement of the new service will now enable brands to seamlessly integrate with some of the best local and international podcasts available on iHeart.

The iHeartPodcast Network will provide advertisers access to podcasts across all listening platforms, with advertising voiced by hosts and geo-targeted to Australian-only ears.

At the same time, ARN has launched new and enhanced campaign measurement and attribution for brands to track and measure effectiveness.

With 30 million Australian impressions across International, Local and Catchup podcasts, there is significant scale and opportunity for local advertisers through the new service.

The move follows ARN’s announcement in October 2019 that it had secured exclusive sales representation for all Australian downloads of the iHeartPodcast Network.

ARN says the launch of the iHeartPodcast Network Australia reinforces its leading position in Defining Audio through delivering the most complete audio offering for audiences and advertisers, and that the service is now one of the most comprehensive commercial offerings in the Australian podcast market.

“Australians are listening to more audio than ever before, using podcasts to complement rather than replace other audio,” said ARN commercial product and audio partnerships director Corey Layton.

“Our ability to integrate podcast and radio talent into advertising campaigns provides our clients with best in class solutions, across all forms of audio.”

ARN’s new iHeartPodcast Network will continue to see ARN support local content creators, including through a growing number of iHeartRadio Australia podcast partnerships, in an effort to use scale to overcome challenges associated with podcast discovery.

Current partnerships exist with Life Uncut by Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley, Rise and Conquer and Equity Mates.

“ARN is the only audio company that has been able to consolidate radio, music and podcasts all in one place for Australian audiences through our ongoing investment in iHeartRadio,” said ARN chief commercial officer Peter Whitehead.

“With our unique audience-led approach to creating targeted commercial and custom content across broadcast and on-demand audio, we have cemented our leadership position in Defining Audio in Australia.

“With the launch of iHeartPodcast Network Australia, we reinforce our commercial offering to clients powered by enhanced data and targeting to maximise cut through.”

The iHeartPodcast Network Australia is now fully integrated across the business.
