ARN hires The Daily Mail’s Mason Rook as Commercial Director

Australian Radio Network had announced the appointment of Mason Rook to the role of commercial director.

Rook will be responsible for leading the Sydney and Brisbane commercial teams and will report to chief commercial officer, Emma-Jayne Owens.

ARN says Rook brings more than 15 years of media experience in television and digital sales to ARN. He’s previously worked with the Seven Network and ninemsn/Mi9.

Most recently, he was commercial director at The Daily Mail, where he successfully led sales strategy, marketing and commercialisation for the digital tabloid brand in the Australian market.

Owens said in a statement that Rook has been a successful commercial leader for over 15 years within traditional and digital media owners.

“He brings a wealth of passion, energy and experience to ARN at a time when we are transforming our business.

“I’m looking forward to working with him again as he joins ARN’s Commercial Leadership team,” she says.

Rook is also looking forward to starting, early January next year.

“I’m delighted to be joining ARN.

“As market leader in audio with ambitious plans for the years ahead, the prospect of leading the Sydney and Brisbane commercial teams and being part of the next stage in the evolution of the business is an incredible opportunity.”
