ARN & TRN report earnings growth

APN News & Media has released their half-yearly financial report to the market today reporting a group net profit for the half of $12.8m, a strong turn-around from a massive loss last FY of $312m.

The radio divisions of ARN, and TRN, both punched well above their weight.

The Australian Radio Network reported revenue growth of 7% for the half-year, with EBITDA up 14% to $27.0m; whilst TRN in New Zealand reported revenue growth of 8% and EBITDA growth of 27%.

APN CEO MIchael Miller spoke in glowing terms of the radio performance;

"Radio has had a stellar half, increasing market share in both Australia and New Zealand and the recent launch of iHeartRadio in both these markets will provide new and larger audiences"
