Another legendary year for Life FM’s Lunch Box Legends.

As another school year begins, the return can be stressful for both the parent and the child.

Needing to buy the uniforms, stationery, and books, it all adds up. Sometimes, the finances are tight. Kids miss out on little things like a lunch box, and unfortunately, some miss out on food.

Since 2022, Adelaide’s Life FM has partnered with Cos We Care, an organisation run by volunteers that helps the homeless around the city and the Northern suburbs, collecting lunch boxes for school kids.

With community support, Life FM created Lunch Box Legends to help school kids have dignity, equality, and self-esteem. The school kids have their lunch box filled each weekday with a delicious healthy lunch to fuel the child’s growth. Spread over 12 schools, 800 lunches are made for kids who are missing out on the meal.

This is Life FM’s third year of hosting Lunch Box Legends, and for 2024, 501 lunch boxes were collected. This later grew to 533 lunch boxes after the handover after a generous listener donated 32.
