Angus O’Loughlin hosted his final Hit radio show last weekend

Host of The Hit Networks Weekend Breakfast Angus O’Loughlin has told his social media followers that last weekend’s shows were his last.

One half of the Juelz and Angus Weekend Breakfast show, Angus took to Twitter to announce the news of his departure after 15 years at the microphone.

“This weekend will be my last radio show after spending 15 years behind the microphone,” said O’Loughlin.

“It’s the place I’ve found my voice, my friends, my memories my partner, now my purpose.”

O’Loughlin didn’t include anything about future plans and says they will come next year.

“This post isn’t for what’s next that’ll come in the New Year – this is to say thank you,” O’Loughlin said.

Jules Jarry joined the Weekend Breakfast team in February 2021, making up the trio of Dylan Alcott, Angus O’loughlin and Juelz Jarry before Alcott resigned in October 2021.

This morning 91.9 SEA FM announced Juelz would be hosting the weekday breakfast program along side Adam “BarRat” in 2022

And what’s next for O’Loughlin?

Probably more podcasting, with a post on the ListenABLE podcast social media page saying:

“In the new year there will be a massive announcement about the future for the podcast.”

Congrats on a great radio career Gussy, you love radio and the craft of it.
You were one of the few who liked tinkering on the edge and not always doing things by the book and that’s what made you great.
It has been an absolute pleasure listening to you and working with you my friend.

Looks like SCA cant hold any announcers. From KJ to ash London, Hamish and Andy , Tom and olly and now Angus. There must be something going on for all these announcers to leave in recent years.
The stations are to white male focused. The listeners deserve better than syndicated non local scripted shows.
