Anchors away for Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie’s very ‘naughty-cal’ singles party

Despite Sydney‘s wild weather and ‘bomb cyclone’ warnings – nothing could stop the sparks flying last night as Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie’s Singles Party set out on board The Jackson on Sydney Harbour.

Over the past few weeks, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie have heard first-hand from listeners just how dire the state of dating is in Sydney, with many tired of swiping and giving up on being ghosted.

So, the Nova team made it their mission to help out, putting out the call for singletons looking for love to register for a spot at their annual Singles Party.

With the help of a matchmaking website built specifcally for the event, a group of Sydneysiders were partnered up with the hope of finding love.

Magician ‘Magic Mike’ and Nova’s resident DJ Scudda helped keep the party going well into night.

On-air this morning, the team reflected on all the highlights from the night – with Fitzy revealing he did get a bit seasick as the boat bobbed along the harbour.

‘We’re going to be honest with you, we thought it was going to be called off … there were warnings to stay indoors” Fitzy said.

“I told you the weather wouldn’t get in the way of love,” said Wippa. “It was an amazing party”
