It’s all Sattler’d

Last year Howard Sattler launched legal action against 6PR after he was sacked by the Perth station after the now infamous interview with former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, in which he questioned the sexuality of her partner Tim Mathieson.

Yesterday Howard Sattler and 6PR reached a confidential settlement with the station releasing a statement saying:

“Today we reached a confidential ​settlement with Howard Sattler regarding his claims against Radio 6PR,”

“We are pleased ​the matter is now settled and wish Howard ​all ​the best.”

Sattler launched defamation proceedings against 6PR claiming unquantified damages due to the unlawful termination of his employment. He also has a separate action alleging unfair dismissal. 

In January Howard Sattler returned with The Sattler Files making its debut online. Positioned as a “new frontier in broadcasting”, The Sattler Files website offers a live stream, topical written articles from Howard, and other planned content areas such as podcasts.
