AFTRS students launch second pop-up network of 2017

AFTRS graduate Diploma of Radio students have launched 2RS, a pop-up radio network broadcasting to Wollongong, Muswellbrook and Nowra regions.

2RS will stream online for two weeks. The station targets the 25-39 demographic and will offer a contemporary mix of established artists with new music, as well as local news and information.

Students are working in the roles of digital content producer, music director, producer, announcer and audio producer and are focused on developing their skills to create engaging on-air content.

Prior to the broadcast, students spent two days with Grant Broadcasters in the three regional markets, learning about operations and making local contacts.

2RS will be on-air until Friday June 16.
