AFTRS Core Skills

AFTRS will again run its successful Core Radio Skills course in July – an online, entry level course which is easy to access from anywhere across the country.

AFTRS Radio Program Leader Lisa Sweeney says the six-week course first ran last year, proved popular for those looking at the industry for change in career direction, or for those already working in community radio.

“Feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive, with surveys registering 100% satisfaction in terms of valuable information about the industry, practice in a broad range of skills and helpful teacher support throughout the course”, saidLisa Sweeney

“The course is addressing a specific gap in the learning market – for those who are not able to make their way to the AFTRS building in Sydney due to geographical location or work commitments, it’s a perfect option.”

All the content is online and can be completed in  your own time and there is the added bonus of a weekly zoom session to chat with classmates and the lecturer, delivering a sense of community and shared learning.
