Advertising legend joins Black T-Shirts podcast

Reporter

In the latest episode of the Black T-Shirts podcast, Adam Ferrier and Brent Smart interview advertising legend Alex Bogusky.

The chat covers plenty of ground with the creative icon who brought us a Subservient Chicken, made people freak out over Whoppers and led Crispin Porter Bogusky to the Cannes Grand Prix in 5 different categories and Agency of the Decade in 2010.

However, that was then. Now, he is retired from the ad business, a ‘recovering ad man’ in venture capital who has found happiness in mindfulness over money.

Alex shares his views on the ego, and why he’s ‘out of advertising’ (spoiler alert – awards and money are nowhere near as rewarding as he thought they would be) and how he has embraced his new found energy for ideas and creativity with his venture capital business Batshit Crazy Ventures.

Bogusky also touches on the power of Scientology, and why perfect creativity is very similar to unconditional love.

Other guests of Series Two include Mark Ritson, Russel Howcroft and Laura Petruccelli.
