ACMA allocates community radio broadcasting licence in Gloucester, NSW

Reporter

ACMA has allocated a community radio broadcasting licence to Gloucester Broadcasters Association Incorporated (Bucketts Radio) in the Gloucester RA1 area in New South Wales.

Bucketts Radio was the sole applicant in response to the ACMA’s advertisement.

It has been operating a temporary community radio broadcasting licence in the area for 14 years.

In announcing its decision, ACMA said that Bucketts Radio demonstrated in its application that it is highly engaged with the local community and responsive to community needs.

The licence has been allocated for a period of five years.

After that time, Bucketts Radio is eligible to apply for its licence to be renewed.
