ABC’s OzPod conference announces keynote speaker

Staff Writer

Returning for its second year, ABC Radio’s non-profit podcast conference OzPod has unveiled its keynote speaker.

Jenn White, host and production team member of the US-based Making Oprah podcast, will be the feature speaker at the conference, which covers a range of topics including audience growth, ethics, technologies, storytelling and monetisation.

A prominent TV and radio broadcaster and producer, White has also worked on All Things Considered and as an outreach manager at NPR station Michigan Radio.

“We are particularly excited about our keynote, Jenn White, who is the co-creator and host of one of the standout podcast hits of the last 12-months,” said Kellie Riordan, manager of ABC Audio Studios.

“OzPod has quickly become the go-to event for the entire podcasting industry, whether it’s for tips on content creation, business development, or building your audience.”

“Whether you’re a small podcast producer looking to meet other creators, or a platform on the hunt for the next crop of talent, OzPod welcomes every podcaster and radio maker in Australia,” Riordan added.

OzPod 2017 will be held at ABC’s Ultimo Centre in Sydney on September 8. The full program is soon to be announced.
