ABC Radio Sydney sends up KIIS Network’s Zach & Dom

Zach & Dom are now the proud joint owners of their very own ABC Radio fridge magnet, after the national broadcaster got its own back, over a cheeky on-air segment from the KIIS late night duo.

Taking the mickey, the boys decided they could help the ABC inject some ‘energy’ into its Evening quiz, by dubbing in responses from KIIS competition winners.

In a good natured dig, ABC Sydney Evenings host Renee Krosch responded by sending Zach and Dom a cheerio – as well as a very special prize.

“Glad to have you listening to us, gentlemen!” said Renee.

“Thank you for making the quiz sound even better with the voices of some of the prize winners from YOUR station.”

“But you know what? I think we’ve got great callers on ABC Evenings.”

“To thank you, Zach and Dom, we’re going to send you one of our exclusive Evenings fridge magnets, that say ‘I won the Evenings quiz,’ because we know how much you’re longing to have one.”

“But only one. You’re going to have to share it.”

The send up ended with a newly created ABC Radio Sydney promo saying “… it’s so good, even the other radio stations listen to ABC Radio Sydney…”
