Abbie Chatfield to co-host KIIS Breakfast this coming week

Abbie Chatfield is the latest guest host who’s signed up to join KIIS FM Breakfast for the coming week, sitting alongside host Mike E, with Brooklyn, Nat, Intern Pete and the broader brekky team.
The high-profile podcaster and former SCA radio presenter joins a rotating cast of co-hosts including TEN News journalist Georgie Tunny, who was heard on the program this week.
Abbie said “I’m so excited to jump in with the KIIS Breakfast crew for the week. Breakfast radio is fast, fun, and full-on in the best way, so I think I’ll be a perfect fit! I can’t wait to get on air.”
Abbie will guest host Breakfast on KIIS 1065 and KIIS 1011 next week, Monday April 27 – Friday May 1.
Interesting move considering her 2024 radio rant where she said “Who the F*** even listens to Radio”…

The look at me show is going to be a wild ride. Brands and advertisers will be running a thousand miles from her.
Mike and Abbie… feels like some 2013 Austereo shiz. Just add a spice girl and some bloke from getaway.
Abbie has a huge audience and profile. Why is it ok to have men onair with cheeky or controversial talk topics but as soon as it’s a woman we tear her down. Good on the new KIIS content team for taking the opportunity to hero Australia female talent in an otherwise male line up. They heard the feedback from the upfront

It looks like KIIS is looking for another “Emma” to pair with Mike.

You’d have thought ARN would have learned their lesson.

Would it really surprise anyone if ARN’s ultimate hope/wish is to reunite Mike E with Emma Chow once SCA inevitably pulls the plug on 2DayFM’s current brekky show?
In the meantime, it’s rather obvious why Abbie Chatfield is making a return to radio (however briefly) after bag-mouthing it: Money talks!
Another option potentially worth considering: Utilising Nat Penfold (who also spent some time on The Edge, pre-CADA relaunch) as a co-host for Mike E.
