Abbie Chatfield rules out return to radio

Seven months after quitting her Hot Nights With Abbie show on the Hit Network, Abbie Chatfield has reportedly ruled out returning to radio.

Chatfield told the Herald Sun (subscription required) she now wakes up happy every day, thinking ‘I don’t have radio today.’

“I had too much on, I had radio, podcasts, TV, The Masked Singer, everything, so it was good to take a big thing out.”

“I am choosing to spend time with people I love, rather than earning money.”

“So no, never again.”

Last August, Chatfield announced on Instagram that she was leaving radio, saying she was feeling emotionally drained from working across several different mediums.

Of radio, she said “I just wasn’t getting joy from that environment anymore.”
