A check in on Mental Health
Next Tuesday night from 7pm, SCA will broadcast a special three hour show across their Hit Network, Press Pause.
Mental Health Ambassadors Jules Lund and Bianca Dye will host the program to raise awareness for mental health and look at issues ranging from anxiety and depression to peer and social media bullying.
A list of stars are also lending their voice to the special including Osher Gunsberg , Mia Freedman, models Ashley Hart and Nick Bracks, Demi Lovato, Hugh Jackman, Olly Murrs, Troy Sivan and Anja Nissen.
Jules Lund said, “There’s something incredibly liberating hearing your favourite stars admit they struggle at times. It’s simple yet powerful. I am honoured to bring these messages to our listeners, and ask them to join us for #presspause.”
Jules and Bianca will also be joined by Federal Health Minister Sussan Ley to discuss the brutal statistics around self-harm and suicide amongst the current generation.
The show will go out across The Hit Network’s 42 stations and is one of the agreed actions by SCA following the ACMA investigation and judgement into the “royal prank call”.
The show will be commercial free with airtime being donated to raising awareness for organisations on the frontline including: Lifeline, Kids Helpline, Beyond Blue, Headspace, The Reach Foundation, Reachout.com and Batyr.
