96fm’s “Kid-preneurs”

Staff Writer

96fm’s Carmen and Fitzi were so inspired by 9 year old Tadyn who started his own candle making business when his parents wouldn’t buy him an Apple watch, that they decided reach out to their listeners to see what other “Kid-preneurs” Perth had to offer.

The response was phenomenal, so Carmen and Fitzi decided to invite two kids into the studio to pitch their businesses and hopefully help them reach their business goals and achieve their dreams.

10 year old Ash of ‘Beauty from Ash’s” runs a natural lip balm business and donates to her chosen charity ‘Big Brother Mouse’ who support children’s literacy programs in Laos.

Carmen was so impressed with Ash that she made some phone calls, securing Ash a PR consultant to help spread her message, local businesses offering space to sell her products in their stores, a free stall at upcoming markets, a new phone and much more to help her reach her fundraising target of $1300.  Entrepreneur Janine Ellis has also come out endorsing Ash since hearing her story.

When Fitzi heard how 10 year old Adrian of ‘Adrian’s Poultry’ asked his parents to buy him 5 chickens, and now he owns more than 30 chickens plus geese, ducks and other animals, selling the eggs and breeding animals to sell to family and friends he decided to give him a hand.

As well as creating a business Facebook page for Adrian, Fitzy has produced specially designed company stickers for Adrian’s egg cartons and a stamp to go on his eggs to make his products more professional, and he has also organised a camera so Adrian can take photos of his chickens to sell for breeding.
