Two 2GB radio technicians from the Nine Network Olympic broadcast team have been attacked in an attempted robbery in Paris as they were making their way back to their accommodation.
Nine reporter Christine Ahern, who was herself the victim of an attempted robbery in Rio, provided the above update to 3AW‘s Ross and Russ, after the news had first appeared on the 3AW Rumour File.
The incident was reported to police, with both the staff able to return to work the following day.
Ahern said that the feeling in Paris was generally upbeat but reminded travelers to be careful of opportunists in and around the Olympic precinct.
