2Day FM has a new assistant music director

SCA has confirmed Rohan Edwards will return to 2Day FM as its assistant music director and on-air floater from 19 June.

Like many, Edwards career began with the 2Day FM street team. He also did his first on-air shift there in 2015. Since then, Rohan has been at KIIS 101.1 Melbourne and most recently at KIIS 106.5 Sydney in operations.

Edwards hails from Launceston in Tasmania. He first studied radio courses at TAFE, then to AFTRS in 2015 where he completed his Advanced Diploma in Radio.

Edwards told Radio Today back in January 2016, “I now have my dream job. I came to Sydney in January last year hoping to get something half as good as this offer. It’s all thanks to AFTRS. I would never have realised my dream of a radio career in a metro station if it weren’t for the school,” he said on graduating.
