$250k giveaway: Big money up for grabs as Nova’s Jase & Lauren play Hide and Seek.

Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren will soon be playing Hide & Seek, and there’s up to $250,000 on offer to the seeker who finds the brekky duo first.
The quicker listeners crack the code and locate Jase & Lauren somewhere in Melbourne, the more cash the winner takes home.
It’s the biggest sum of money Jase & Lauren have ever had on offer over their radio partnership, with the possibility of taking home up to a quarter of a million dollars once the clock starts ticking.
The rules are simple: Jase and Lauren will be somewhere in the city, just waiting to be found.
Lauren says “We know Melbourne loves playing a game of Hide & Seek.”
Jase says “The rules may be simple, but the amount of money up for grabs is huge! It’s the only way I could convince Lauren to be locked away with me indefinitely. I was just looking for a break from the kids.”
Nova Network’s Group Programming Director Brendan Taylor says this latest promotion is set to be huge.
“Jase and Lauren have made an impressive impact on the Melbourne radio market since joining Nova 100 earlier this year. They started their year on the streets shaking hands with their loyal listeners, and now they’re asking their loyal listeners to come to them … if they can find them!”

Isn’t it kind of suss that the Terms and Conditions for this competition aren’t up on Nova’s website?

Looking at the Terms and Conditions:
“Upon the (start of the competition) the Prize will be valued at AUD $250,000, and will decrease by AUD $1 for each second that passes after the Announcement.”
So basically, if Jase and Lauren aren’t found within the first 24-hours, then $86,400 will be wiped from the $250,000. If they’re not found within 2.8 days, then the entire prize is gone.
Odd mechanic given that cash prizes for competitions usually go up (jackpot) rather than go down. Seems a little deceptive to refer to a competition as ‘Nova’s $250,000 Hide & Seek with Jase & Lauren’ when it’s impossible for the $250,000 to actually be given away (unless someone miraculously finds Jase and Lauren in under one second).
