2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards nominees announced, voting opens

Aussies can now vote for their favourite artists in the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

The awards will celebrate the biggest songs and artists on iHeartRadio over the duration of 2017.

The 2018 event will be held on Sunday March 11 at the Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles, where there’ll be live performances, unique artist collabs and celebrity guest appearances.

Leading the way with multiple nominations are RihannaTaylor SwiftBruno MarsEd SheeranThe ChainsmokersDaddy YankeeLuis Fonsi and DJ Khaled.

This year’s categories include Female Artist of the Year, Male Artist of teh Year, Best Duo/Group of the Year, and genre-based awards for Pop, Country, Alternative Rock, Rock, Dance, Hip Hop, R&B and more.

A stack of categories are also open for fan-voting, including Best Fan Army, Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song, Best Music Video, Social Star Awards, Best Solo Breakout and more.

“The iHeartRadio Awards are one of the most exciting music events of the year and create more social traffic than the Oscars!” said iHeartRadio Australia COO Geraint Davies.

“With all Australian music fans able to take part in the voting and see their favourite artists take home an award this annual event is a true celebration of music, artists and also the fans.”

“I am so pleased to again be giving Aussie music fans the chance to attend The iHeartRadio Awards in LA,” added iHeartRadio Australia content director Brett “Nozz” Nossiter.

“It’s an awards event truly for the fans, with performances from some of the world’s biggest artists.”

iHeartRadio are also giving Australian fans a chance to win a trip to the awards ceremony in LA.

Votes and entries can be submitted at the iHeartRadio official site, where the full list of nominees can also be viewed.

Voting closes March 4.
