2017 Convoy for Cancer Changes Gear and Stations

Canberra’s Capital Radio’s 2CC and 2CA have replaced hit 104.7 as supporters of the annual Convoy for Cancer.

On the move away from hit104.7, Cancer Support Group CEO Melissa Gardiner said, “We’ll be forever grateful for their support over the years, but we did some online research with our Truck drivers and Motorbike riders and the overwhelming response we received from our survey was that they listened to 2CC and 2CA when on the road”.

“As in previous years we will launch the Support-A-Truck through 2CC and 2CA in October, this not only allows businesses to be a part of a moving billboard for 12 months, it also allows families to place in memoriam messages to loved ones lost from Cancer. Our Lead Bike auction will take place on Wednesday March 29th, and our Lead Truck auction will take place on Thursday March 30th 2017. This gives people fundraising to lead the Convoy 2 extra months to bolster their bids.”

The 2017 Convoy for Cancer Families will take part on April 2^nd and the carnival will again be held at Exhibition Park in Canberra.
