2GB’s Zac De Silva heading to Canberra to report for Nine network

Reporter

Award winning 2GB journalist Zac De Silva’s career has taken a new turn, with the 23 year old join Nine Radio’s Canberra bureau.

Zac announced the news on twitter, saying he’s stoked to be joining Michael Pachi, and covering politics in what’s shaping up to be a fascinating term in federal parliament.

Zac began his radio career at 2SER in 2019 whilst still studying journalism.

After hearing Zac read an audition, former News Director Geoff Field put him on air.

The following year, Zac won the prestigious Brian White Scholarship

Field tells Radio Today he wasn’t surprised when Zac was poached to work at Southern Cross Austereo in Albury, and then headhunted for his current job at 2GB.

Zac says he can’t wait to get to Canberra – the main worry is just working out how to navigate his way around Parliament House.
