Tilly Oddy-Black unearths history’s weirdest bits in new ABC podcast

The ABC has launched Wait … They Did What?!, a new history podcast for kids and tweens hosted by comedian Tilly Oddy-Black.

The series dives head-first into the bizarre, surprising and sometimes scandalous things adults used to think were totally normal.

Travelling back to the eras of parents and grandparents, Tilly revisits eyebrow-raising moments from recent history, like when kids were allowed to light fireworks, bikinis were banned at the beach, and people used fax machines instead of the internet.

Tilly is joined by Wiradjuri and Pallawa man Isaac Muller for some episodes exploring Indigenous history and perspectives.

Releasing every Monday, the first episode of Wait … They Did What?! is available now on ABC listen and all major podcast platforms. A vodcast version will also be available on ABC iview and the ABC Big Kids YouTube channel.
