The Power of Sound (pt 1)
Thousands of creative promos, sweepers and commercials are made every week in Australian radio production studios.
As much as it’s fantastic to check out the latest online breakfast team video, or trending Facebook post, it’s important to acknowledge that radio is an ‘audio’ business. What we put up the ‘stick’ is primarily what makes us money.
There are some of the best radio production creative’s in the world working in Australia right now who are regularly winning International awards as well as local industry accolades for their high calibre of work.
The work is laborious. Often words scribbled on a piece of paper that took 10sec to write can take many hours in studio to bring to life.
Yes, we audio types can be eclectic … we like it loud, we like it precise … and at the end of the day we like our list of ‘projects to mix’ to be crossed off.
So … spare some praise for your production people when next you see them in the staff kitchen brewing their double shot soy latte with a lemon twist.
They are some of the best in the world … just have a listen (part 2 and 3 will be published during this week) ….
