The Music Network Chart Wrap: February 17

Hot 100

This week’s chart sees OMI’s Cheerleader finally take #1 in what has been five weeks of constant gains up the Top 10 since debuting at #10. Back up at #2 from #3 is Hozier’s Take Me To Church, just sitting short of its previous best of #1 which was taken by Mark Ronson last week. Now Ronson sits at #3 with Uptown Funk featuring Bruno Mars, losing the top spot to OMI. Sia hits a new peak of #4 up from #7 with Elastic Heart as does Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s FourFiveSeconds, which now sits at #7 up from #9.

Taylor Swift’sStyle now sits in the Top 10 landing at #10 from #13, this means she once again has two tracks in the top bracket, the other being Blank Space, which is down at #8 from #5.

Outside the Top 10 some notable movement can be seen from Ellie Goulding with Love Me Like You Do hitting #13 from #31. David Guetta & Emili Sande’s What I Did For Love breaks the Top 30 at #32 up from #62 and Childish Gambino’s Sober just makes the Top 40 at #39 from #68. The most moved this week however is Zhu’sFaded which sees a jump from #95 to #63, no doubt still riding off recent success on the Hottest 100.

A fair few debuts take place in the Top 50 this week. First up is at #34 with Jessie J’s Masterpiece. At #36 is a new entry from Vance Joy’s Georgia and #44 sees Olly Murs and Demi Lovato’s Up take the last debut in the Top 50. Two noteworthy re-entries take place as well with Ed Sheeran’s Give Me Love coming in at #62 and Sam Smith’sStay With Me at #73, both no doubt as a result of the recent spotlight shone on them by The Grammys.
