STAR 1063 launches Archie & Donny’s Locked Away for 10K

Five duos. Five days. One secret location. Ten thousand dollars on the line.

It’s a case of reality meets radio in Townsville and North Queensland, as STAR 1063 launches its Locked Away for 10K contest, powered by JGI.

Launching September 15th, five fearless duos – including identical twins, lovebirds, grandparents and newlyweds – will be cuffed together in a secret location, stripped of their phones, freedom and creature comforts. And when you throw a couple of young tradies into that mix … what could possibly go wrong?

For five intense days, these pairs will endure mental and physical challenges, temptation trials, surprise eliminations and full-blown psychological pressure all for the shot at a life-changing $10,000.

Hosted by STAR 1063’s own dynamic duo Archie and Donny, Locked Away for 10K will unfold live on-air, with exclusive behind-the-scenes moments streaming via STAR 1063’s Facebook Live.

“This is more than a radio contest – it’s a social experiment,” says STAR Content Director Stu Tolan. “We’re taking everyday people from Townsville and dropping them into a pressure cooker. It’s emotional. It’s entertaining. And it’s all playing out live on-air.”

Each day brings new challenges, rising tension and the looming threat of elimination. Contestants will be tested with mind games, pushed to make tough decisions under pressure, and tempted with offers that could fracture alliances.
