Southern Cross Austereo announces two senior sales appointments

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has announced two new senior sales appointments within the company’s NSW division.

After spending 16 months as the company’s head of TV sales for Sydney Nick Unger has been promoted to head of sales for regional NSW, effective immediately.

Reporting to SCA’s head of regional sales strategy Joel Feuerherdt, Unger will assume responsibility for SCA’s NSW sales team,  overseeing management and driving strategy for SCA’s operations across audio, TV and digital.

Moving forward, Unger’s previous role with SCA will be occupied by Holly Bradley, who has worked in the TV sales team for eight years and recently assumed the position of group sales manager.

Bradley will now report to SCA’s national head of TV sales, Otto Ablinger.

Discussing the movements within the sales team, Ablinger noted the commitment of both Unger and Bradley throughout their time with the company.

“Nick returned to SCA just over 16 months ago and in that short time has taken the team on to deliver record revenue results, share growth and new business,” Ablinger said.

“He has also helped develop what was already an exceptional sales team to best in market performances during challenging circumstances.

“Holly is respected by both her team and clients, and l have every confidence that Holly and her team will continue to deliver best in market performance with our new TV affiliation with the 10 Network.”

Commenting on her own promotion, Bradley highlighted the company’s new partnership with Network 10 as being the start of an exciting era for the SCA TV team.

“I am absolutely delighted to lead the SCA TV team in Sydney, particularly as we start our exciting new affiliation with Network 10,” Bradley said.

“With Boomtown thriving and our new partnership with 10, I can’t wait to see how we connect further with our agencies and clients to help their businesses grow.”

Unger, meanwhile, reaffirmed Bradley’s sentiments and pinpointed SCA’s growth within regional NSW.

“There is no doubt that regional NSW is one of the largest and fastest-growing markets in Australia, with more than 3 million Australians now residing outside of Sydney metro areas,” Unger remarked.

“SCA is uniquely positioned in this market with assets across TV, audio and digital to help our local businesses and communities take advantage of this population shift.

“As a resident of Boomtown myself, I’ve witnessed first-hand the huge growth and potential of the NSW market. I’m looking forward to working with and supporting our local sales teams, advertising partners and our local communities across NSW.”
