Ricochet Ball 2022: iHeartRadio find the podium
After a two-year break due to COVID-19, charity netball tournament, Ricochet Ball made a triumphant return this week, with 12 teams across media and music competing for the trophy.
Held at Perry Park in Alexandria on Monday, 14th November, the event kicked off ARIA Week 2022 with The iHeartRadio Wreckers taking out the top spot, beating TMRW Music in the grand final.
The MVP of the tournament, as awarded by the umpires, was iHeart’s Grant Maling.
“The standard of play this year was really impressive!”, said co-founder KLP.
“Everyone really gave it their all on the court. Each year it seems to get more competitive!”
The Ricochet Ball tournament raised over $27,000 for charity this year, with $75,000 being raised since the first event in 2018.
“We are so grateful for every player and team who got behind the fundraising,” said KLP.
“It’s always such a fun day, and to raise over $27,000 for charity is such an awesome effort.”
Ricochet Ball was founded in 2018 by DJ and songwriter KLP and music publicist Anna Fitzgerald as a way for the entertainment industry to come together for a day of sport and fundraising in a healthy, alcohol-free environment.
