“One of the first things you asked me was you thought I hated you” – Abbie Chatfield reconnects with former ‘boyfriend’ Dr Matt Agnew for It’s A Lot

In a special 2-part episode of LiSTNR‘s It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield, Abbie catches up with her former Bachelor boyfriend Dr Matt Agnew with previous misunderstandings over creative editing and misinformation cleared up.

Abbie told Matt that it was hard seeing what was a positive friendship and relationship between the pair play out so that she became the villain:

Matt: “It was a frustrating experience, seeing how the edit played out, because we had all these interesting conversations and conversations of substance and like you said, politics, feminism, all these things that actually were really interesting. And that all got cut because that’s not a good narrative for what they were trying to push.”

The pair apparently caught up about six months after the show aired:

Matt: “Well, the first time we got to catch up, there was all these things that we could talk about….one of the first things you asked me was you thought I hated you. I hate that you had to kind of carry that idea that there was any sort of you know, nastiness or hatred, or animosity from my side just was not the case ever.”

Abbie: “I was so confused. But we hung out. We clarified everything. And just also to be clear, nothing has ever happened between Matt and I off camera which is very funny.”
