Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun have fully immersed themselves in the spirit of Book Week.

Last Friday, the team broadcast the show live from Brentwood Primary School.

The O.B featured an impressive lineup of local and national guests, including Premier Roger Cook, AFLW player Emma O’Driscoll, West Coast Fever’s Jordan Cransberg and Kadie-Ann Dehaney and comedian and TV host Andy Lee, author of the bestselling kids’ book series Do Not Open this Book.

The team also spoke to Perth dad Matt Hanham, author of The Donkey and the Sea Turtle, whose two sons attend Brentwood Primary School.

The Premier revealed that the Premier’s Book Challenge is “huge” in WA.

26,000 students between kindy and year 12 across the state have participated in the challenge, with 420,000 books having been read.

The Premier also read some pages from Nathan, Nat & Shaun’s new children’s book What if We Wrote a Book?

When asked if he had a favourite children’s book, the Premier replied “Buster the Fire Truck!”

It was also announced that What if We Wrote a Book? is now available for sale to the public, with all proceeds going to the Perth Telethon.

The show concluded with the YWA Director donating a cheque for $5000 for the purchase of new books for Brentwood Primary School’s library.

Nathan, Nat & Shaun can be heard from 6am to 9am on Nova 93.7 in Perth. Listeners can stream the show live or catch up with the daily podcast by downloading the Nova Player.
