Not a happy team at Hawthorn

Following the Hawthorn Hawks poor performance at the weekend, and particularly Lance Franklin's inaccuracy in front of the goals, Hughesy and Kate on Nova 100 identified the solution. Perhaps.

In their view, the reason for the poor form was 'the Buddy ball'. So Hughesy & Kate decided to burn it when Hawks captain Luke Hodge was in the studio this morning in order to remove the curse.

What is 'the Buddy ball'? It is a business venture of Lance Franklin's which is, ironically, intended to improve accuracy when kicking for goal.

The Hawks are clearly the centre of attention on Melbourne radio this week. Gold FM's Lehmo, a Hawks fan, lost a bet with co-host Brig on the weekend match and subsequently had to watch car windscreens at the busy intersection of Punt Road and Swan Street, wearing a Richmond Tigers guernsey (below).

For everyone's sake let's hope Hawthorn can beat North Melbourne on Saturday, anything could happen next week if they lose.
